Synopsis

Kisses artfully blends tension and humor as impressive 12-year-old newcomers Kelly O'Neill (as Kylie) and Shane Curry (as Dylan) impulsively escape their drab Dublin housing estate and dysfunctional families, and head for an eventful long night's journey into day. Hailed as the best new feature from Ireland (Galway Film Fest), writer-director Lance Daly explores Dublin through the eyes of the two young, increasingly less innocent protagonists, across the late hours when nightlife begins to take on a darker, more sinister form, and the kindness of strangers starts to wane. After a joyous shopping mall splurge, they prowl Dublin's various locales that succumb to the remarkably accomplished performances of the young, unknown leads, and a most unique vision of enchantment and wonder. Bob Dylan songs accompany their venture.
